What to Know about Hospice Care

The Need to Know
Finding out that the treatment you are receiving for your illness is no longer working, can be devastating. Some people may think that there is no hope and nothing else that can be done. This, however, is not the case. Hospice care is an option that you should consider. Hospice care is recommended to those where pain management is more important than the continuation of aggressive treatment.

What You Get
Receiving hospice care does not mean that you will stop receiving treatment from your primary doctor. In fact, at ProCare Hospice of Nevada, a Las Vegas hospice company, we will work with your primary physician. We also will provide you with the support from: personal physician, hospice physician, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, social workers, counselors, spiritual care coordinators, volunteers, certified nursing assistants, registered dietitians, physical therapists, and speech therapists.

You Get Options
While we do offer traditional means of treatment for pain management, we also provide a holistic approach to treating pain management. Some treatment options include gentle touch, range of motion and lymphatic massages.
